Recruitment process

We understand what a big step it is for you and your family as well if you are bringing them, to relocate to another country. We will organise every dental from getting the legal paperwork and applications done correctly, organising language courses, finding an appropriate house or apartment for you, kindergarten or school for your children, getting you registred in the municipality office and everything else that is necessary when moving abroad and starting a new career in Denmark.

If you are ready to start your career as a dentist in Denmark, then please send us a copy of your current CV in English. We may also ask you some further questions to build a greater picture before we go any further. Please include a little bit about yourself so we can asses your qualifications, expectations and needs in order to match you with the position and geographic location that is right for you and your family.

All correspondence will be treated in the strictest confidence.

If your application matches our current or expected future vacancies, we will arrange a Skype interview to get to know more about you, your experiences, your expectations and needs. During this conversation we will also give you more specific information about working here and the different processes along the way. We will also inform you about which positions we have open at the moment as well as which vacancies we expect in the near future.

At this point we will wish to contact two references of two most recent employers or if you only have one employer since qualifying you may provide a tutor as a reference.

If successful to this point then we would invite you to visit us in Denmark to meet your prospective employers. You wil have a formal interview, meet your prospective future colleagues, be guided around the practise and shown its facilities. You will initially be expected to shadow a dentist at the clinic and to assist them in their treatments in order to see the standards and methods to which work must be carried out. On your second and perhaps third day at the clinic you will be scheduled with patients yourself and the dentists that you followed the day before will now work as your assistant.

If the trial week goes well, it is up to you and the employer to decide if you are the right fit and, if so, you will be provided with either a Letter of Intent or an Employment Contract, which will set out the details of employment.

Permanent employment will be conditional upon:

a) Obtaining permission from the Danish Board of Health to practise dentistry upon arrival in Denmark.

b) Completion of the online course "Speak Danish" provided by Med-Employee before arrival to Denmark.

c) Successfully obtaining your Registration Certificate.

Once you and the employer have signed the Employment Contract, we will organise every little detail from getting the paper work done correctly, organising language courses, finding an appropriate house or apartment for you, kindergarten and/or school for your children, showing you around the area you will live in, getting you registred at the municipality office and everything else that is necessary when moving abroad and starting a new career in Denmark.

To make you feel at ease you will get a contact person at Med-Employee whom you can contact at all times and whom will make sure the relocation will be a success.
